Jujutsu Kaisen 0 holds a special place in Movie Jabber's history — it was among the first dedicated anime theatrical events we organised, and it proved there was a real, hungry audience for this kind of experience in Nairobi. The prequel film follows Yuta Okkotsu, a timid high school student haunted by the powerful curse of his childhood friend Rika. Enrolling in Tokyo Jujutsu High under Satoru Gojo, he must learn to control his power before it consumes him. The film is visually stunning and emotionally raw — a perfect introduction to the Jujutsu Kaisen world. Watching the response from the audience that night, we knew anime screenings in Kenya had a future. Everything that followed traces back to this event.
